As Design Lead, I helped transform in-house software, optimize store processes, and enhance Mestergruppen's digital ecosystem. Through collaboration with developers, user interviews, and iterative design, we delivered a unified, user-friendly solution that improved operational efficiency. This project highlights the value of interdisciplinary teamwork and a user-centered approach in achieving successful digital transformations.
My Role in the Project
I led as the Design Lead aswell as UX/UI for this project. Here is what I did:
The project began through extensive interviews with super users, where every moment was carefully transcribed. This methodical approach was essential for gathering insights, needs and preferences from the users. The result was the design of detailed personas that would guide the project further. The personas acted as living representations of the end users, and their characteristics and needs were essential in shaping both functionality and design. This thorough collection work and persona development formed a solid basis for understanding the target group and creating a more targeted and user-centred solution.
At Mestergruppen, I spearheaded the expansion and refinement of the design system, leveraging my expertise to drive innovation and consistency across all projects. Through attention to detail and a clear understanding of design principles, I cultivated a cohesive visual language that unified the brand's identity while accommodating diverse needs and functionalities. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, I facilitated the integration of the design system into every aspect of the organization, fostering efficiency and scalability in product development processes.
The project's first design-phase focused on upgrading and integrating an existing solution, which will then be "merged" with the overall MGpris project. This strategic approach ensured a seamless transition from the existing platform to the improved in-house software.
By combining the two elements, we worked to create a unified and optimized solution.
